Ive mentioned before that I’m one of the most planned out people you’ll ever never meet. Here is the rough scheme I’ve mapped out for myself in order to live my automotive ownership dreams.
2000s (Age 12 to 21)
1994 Geo Tracker - Purchased by stepdad for $400 in 2003. RIP in 2007.
2006 Kia Rio Sedan - Purchased by mom for $11,000 in 2007. RIP 2015.
Decade Total = $0 .... [$15,000 / $125 per month]
2010s (Age 22 to 31)
2006 Kia Amanti - Purchased for $7,500 in 2012.
2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Purchased for $22,000 in 2015.
2012 Jaguar XF - Purchased for $29,000 in 2016.
Decade Total = $58,500 / $487.50 per month

My first thought was wow, that’s a lot of cars. It might be helpful to include long term plans for the cars. I assume that you’ll keep a few until they die, but sell a lot of them as you upgrade.
My second thought was wow, that’s a ton of money. Good luck hitting the Powerball.

Looks like he’s buying them used. So he could probably recoup a good amount of he only keeps them for a year or two.
He could also go the Doug route and make up the difference with yt videos lol.

Hopefully his plan isn’t to just amass a hanger full of 50 or so cars. That would get expensive.
The other thing that struck me as odd was the fact that he’d be buying cars all the way up to age 81. Sure he might drive that long, but buying 7 cars after the age of 70 seems like a lot.
